Day 2 of the DNC: Renewing America’s Promise, Hillary Clinton Knocks It Out of the Park

From the Desk of King D in Miami

Many are dubbing Day 2 of the Democratic National Convention the most important day of the week long convention because of one women, Hillary Rodham Clinton. As many of you know, Hillary came in second place in the Spring Democratic primary race, but was not chosen by Barack Obama as the VP. With 18 million people casting their vote for Hillary instead of Obama, the Democratic party is at a divisive crossroads. Many of Clinton’s supporters are still bitter about the lose and Hillary not being chosen at the VP which has caused a rift in the party. A divided Democratic party will not help Obama get into the Oval office. So as Tuesday’s keynote speaker, Hillary Clinton’s job was to help the Obama campaign smooth out this rift and urge her supporters to vote for Barack Obama in the November. Bill Clinton is also scheduled to speak on Wednesday to help bring home the message of party unity and to help rally the masses around Presidential nominee Barack Obama and VP-nominee Joe Biden.
