Artist Spotlight: Allen Simms


Allen Simms As a singer, songwriter, arranger, and performer, 25-year old Allen brings new meaning to the term "R&B".

Raised in sunny Miami Florida where he started singing at the tender age of two years old Allen Simms sung in a lot of talent shows and with different choirs in the city. While still in school Allen sung background for artist at Virgin Records as well as performed with known artists like Patti Labelle and opening up for known groups around the city.

With all this known attention young Allen Simms was getting in Miami Fl, Allen Simms parents agreed to a single with a indie gospel label Platinum Status Kingdom. The single sold over 5,000 copies, was on every major gospel radio station as well as some secular stations through out florida.

Allen moved to Atlanta to be apart of a known group signed under Biv10/Motown Recording Group.
Allen wrote and recorded songs for the groups new album as well as traveled and performed with the group meeting talented artist along the way and understanding the music business and how it works. After two years with the group it was disband.
Allen Started a writing team Da Machine that he writes with for other artist as well as himself.

Allen landed a song on the hit HBO show The Wire as well as landing another song on TLC Miami INC. Allen has been offered to write songs for an upcoming movie that’s in pre-production at this moment.

Allen Simms career is on a never ending fast roller coster! Allen is touring in Asia for 8months with the band Xpress as well as promoting his his single BreakThrough thats on sale now in all major internet stores.
Allen has the style and the performance that will take you back to the good old days where there was true artist with real emotion and topics of life, love and a struggle.
