A tragic end to gay pride. Eric Lamar Turner, popular former model (nsfw) on the blatino-themed Cocodorm, was killed in a horrific head-on highway collision after leaving Chicago's black gay pride celebration over the holiday weekend.
Police say the freak accident happened Monday morning during rainy weather on I-65 near Lafayette, Indiana. Turner, who performed at Cocodorm under the name "Lamar" (nsfw), was headed to Indianapolis and a passenger in the rented Mazda. Police say the car crossed the median, slammed into a semi trailer head on and split into two pieces. All three occupants died immediately.
"We assume he either lost control or just wasn't paying attention, just come off the roadway and lost control in the wet grass," said Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley tells WTHR-TV. "It's not surprising nobody lived."
Eric Lamar Turner was 23-years-old and lived in New York City and Indianapolis. Although he left the company some time ago, friends and fellow models are devastated by the loss. Baby Boy, one on the most popular models at Cocodorm and star of Baby Boy's Dorm (nsfw), tells Rod 2.0: "Lamar was a great well rounded, goal oriented person to the Flava Works team. Even though he was with us for a short time, what a special time it was."
