Video: Usain Bolt runs a 8.79 relay split at the Penn Relays

A record crowd of 54,310 filled in to historic Franklin Field in Philadelphia on Saturday to watch the world's greatest sprinter compete in our nation's greatest track meet. Usain Bolt didn't disappoint.

The double-gold medalist and world record holder ran a blistering 8.79 in the final leg of the 4x100-meter relay at the event, much to the delight of thousands in attendance dressed in Jamaican yellow and green. As expected, Bolt and his teammates won the relay with ease. The United States team once again had trouble passing off the baton and finished a disappointing second place, just the second time that's happened in the past 11 years.

I know many of you are getting ready for Memorial Day, by either heading to D.C or coming to sunny South Florida. If you will be venturing down to Miami during the holiday weekend, here is another event to add to your agenda, The Que, formerly known as the Rainbow Family Reunion. A few of us started this annual tradition of having a BBQ during Memorial Day weekend, a couple of years ago. It has really grown, so we decided to move the picnic from a warehouse in the Design District to a pavilion in Downtown Miami along the Miami River. If you are looking for a good time, music, spades/dominoes, raffles, volleyball, basketball courts, BBQ straight off the grill & more; this will be MUST-ATTEND event. Rain or shine. All the events will be in an air-conditioned pavilion, so NO HOT Florida sun to deal with. Wassup Blog-a-sphere! I hope everyone is enjoying the warm weather, Spring is officially here. YEAH! I sorry I have been off the map for a while. March was truely mad for me. I was promoting for Soul Unleashed at the Vault Miami. I had to make a MAD dash to Omaha, Nebraska, where I was asked by a hot new Atlanta designer, Alex Holliman to MC his Farrier Bell Fashion Show. I also was in rehearsals to perform at the Miami Dade Youth Fair, while hosting 3 New York City DJs and enjoying the Winter Music Conference on South Beach. It was truely March Madness at its best.
