The 2007 hit movie Stomp The Yard is coming back for a sequel and yes Columbus Short is coming back to reprise is role as DJ Williams. Stomp the Yard the orginal movie centers around DJ Williams, a college student at a fictional historically Black university who pledges to join a fictional Greek-letter fraternity. The film's central conflict involves DJ's fraternity competing in various stepping competitions against a rival fraternity from the same school.
The film starred Columbus Short, Meagan Good, Darrin Henson, Nadia Feseha, Brian White, Laz Alonso, and Valerie Pettiford, with Harry Lennix and, in their film debuts, R&B singers Ne-Yo and Chris Brown. Stomp the Yard was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia on the campuses of Morris Brown College, Georgia Institute of Technology, Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University, and in the MAK Historic District of Decatur, Georgia.
This time around the movie stars The movie also stars Pooch Hall ('The Game')who plays Dane, one of the fraternity step masters., Collins Pennie ('Fame')who will play a character named Chance, Tika Sumpter ('One Life To Live'), rapper David Banner, Kiely Williams ('The Cheetah Girls'), Stephen "tWitch" Boss ('So You Think You Can Dance') who'll play the antagonist Taz and along with '106 & Park' host Terrence J will make his film debut in 'Stomp The Yard 2: The Homecoming will play the role of Ty, a key lineman in Chance's fraternity.As well as rapper/socialite Teyana Taylor has joined the sequel of the 2007 film.
